General Health Checks are provided by the practice nurses and include advice on smoking cessation, diet, blood pressure checks, contraception and all aspects of health promotion for men and women.

Diabetes Clinics are held by Sister Hogg on a Wednesday morning and Dr Lee on Tuesday mornings, by appointment only.

Ante-natal Clinics are held by the midwife on Wednesday afternoons, 1.30 – 4.30pm by appointment.  You can also contact the surgery to speak to the midwife for telephone advice between these times.

Child Health Clinics are held on Wednesdays 12.30 – 1.30pm.  This is a ‘drop in’ clinic where the health visitor is available to answer any questions concerning your child’s health and growth monitoring.  This clinic is for well babies and children only.  The health visitor is also available Monday-Thursday by appointment.

Cervical smears We advise that all women should have regular smears every three – five years; these can be carried out by a practice nurse or a GP by appointment.

Flu/Pneumonia Immunisations are offered to all patients who are either 65 years of age or over, live in long term residential nursing care, have on going chronic health problems or are a carer.  Immunisations are usually given during October and November.  If you are housebound arrangements can be made for the district nurse to give these at home.
